On April 25th, 2024, students and faculty of The University of Texas at Austin gathered at the main mall of the campus to protest their challenged free speech rights and show support for Palestine.
Students walked out of class at noon on Thursday in solidarity with Palestine, gathering at Gregory Gym Plaza and calling for an acknowledgment of Palestinian, Muslim and Arab students and for UT to divest from weapon manufacturers.
Austin residents and UT students protested at the Texas Capitol on Sept. 26 against the Iranian government, following the death of Mahsa Amini.
The Texas 4000 is the longest annual charity bike ride in the world. Over 40 UT students bike from Austin to Alaska sharing cancer prevention education.
